Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are upgrade components that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an added benefit. They tend to be more expensive and require the item be at an appropriate rank.

A custom glyph may have the maximum of 30 glyphs. This includes the base name and its suffix. The glyphs used in the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z), lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9) and underscore (_). The glyphs in the suffix can include ligatures or contextual alternatives that are special variations that combine two or more characters into one, visually unified symbol.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the main mechanics that offer extra bonuses to items, such stats. They are available in three types: rerolling and recycling and leveling up. Each type offers a different set extra bonuses for an item.
Reroll tokens are used to change the item's base stats and upgrade number. They can also be used to reroll substats in rings. This is useful if a player wants to upgrade their item however the "potential" power of that item isn't what they want. Or if their substats of the item aren't what they want to be.
Rerolling an item costs 1 token and will reset the upgrades, but keep the set, rarity and level unaffected. As an item is leveled up, its tier will increase. The primary stat of the item is boosted by 3 points for each level. Any additional stat that is randomly added is also boosted with it. The tier of an item increases by 1 each time you level an item to its highest achievable level.

Recycled Items

When a person places something into their recycling bin on the curb it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it gets separated and sorted into its various components. Leveling
The majority of units can be leveled up which grants them additional XP each time they fight or are attacked. This XP can be used to boost the primary stat of the unit or unlock other upgrades in the unit's tree.
